Creatives Connect in the Spring

Updated: Feb 5

March 24th

My first time attending a Plat444m event was the Sagittarius Art Market in December of 2021, and it was the first one ever. Walking into the Brooklyn Art Cave was surreal; the ambiance was beautiful, there was art everywhere, and I was welcomed into the actual show by venders selling their creations, and there was more art on the wall. This was one of the first art shows I have been to as an adult, and I was excited to support my friend, Simya.

This past Sunday, I was able to attend Plat444m's first event back from hiatus.

Creatives Connect in the Spring had so many different energies going on, and I think that is my favorite part about my experience. With each artist that comes on the stage, I never know what to expect, yet I am entertained every time and it is so fun to watch the audience match the energy of the performances. I even saw some familiar faces like @KAYWTFIRE, whose art I fell in love with at the first art market. Seeing them showcasing their art again several years later emphasizes to me the theme of support and community, two themes The Idaverse is big on. Everyone I was able to see perform were all fresh faces for me, and gratefully, I had the opportunity to converse with a few of them.

Simya does an amazing job of bringing people of all groups together. It's never all musical artists, or all painters, its always a big ass space of creators in all areas. People including myself cross state lines to come to events that he promotes and I can speak for us all when I say we are never disappointed. If anyone has ever met Simya, they would agree that he is such a down to earth person all around and wants nothing more than to see everyone around him achieve their version of success. When he's not throwing his own events, he's supporting and performing at others. He has been an inspiration to me personally for years and its just been such an honor being able to watch him grow.

I look forward to Simya's events because I always leave with something, whether it is a new favorite song, a piece of art, or heavy inspiration. I was hoping to see so many more people on Sunday including those I've seen at previous art markets, but I did hear of a few accidents that may have interfered with transportation, so shout out to everyone that was able to make it! I cannot wait to see what Plat444m Productions has in store in the future, especially because it's getting warmer out. If you're not tuned into what's going on, make sure you watch Simya's profile closely so you don't miss out on another Plat444m Production!!
